To give you a glimpse at what lies ahead in the design world, we called in the pros! Below, three interior designers share what types of furniture trends will be making a splash in the new year. Good news: If you love all things comfy (who doesn't?!), are partial to curved pieces, and appreciate a well-placed pop of color, you're in luck!

1. Karen Rohr is an interior designer with Mackenzie Collier Interiors.
2. Aleem Kassam is a principal designer at Kalu Interiors.
3. Jess Weeth is the owner and principal designer at Weeth Home.

Furniture Trends to Look Forward to in 2023:

1. Sustainability:
Consumers and designers alike will be continuing to go green in 2023, says Karen Rohr of Mackenzie Collier Interiors. "One of the biggest trends we're seeing is a move toward sustainable, eco-friendly materials," she says. "Natural wood finishes are becoming increasingly popular as consumers seek products that will have a minimal environmental impact." In turn, there will also be an emphasis on "simpler, more refined designs," Rohr says. "Clean lines and muted colors are becoming increasingly popular as people look for ways to create a sense of calm in their homes."

2. Seating with Comfort in Mind:
Aleem Kassam of Kalu Interiors says that comfortable furniture will continue to be of major importance in 2023. "With a continued aspect of spending more time in our homes, comfort has taken a front running role when it comes to selecting the perfect seating to any primary room or space," he notes. "Our clients are looking for something to sink into from day to evening, all while sporting a chic style, of course. In the coming year we don't see this trend slowing down at all."

Rohr agrees that comfort is going to continue to take presence, expressing similar sentiments. "After changing our lifestyle and working from home or having a hybrid flex schedule, comfort will be essential in interior design," she says. "Looking for comfortable and stylish pieces with an emphasis on function will stay on trend in the new year."

3. Curved Pieces:
On a somewhat related note, curved furnishings will continue to shine in 2023. "Mixing clean-lined pieces with curved silhouettes creates tension and drama," explains Jess Weeth of Weeth Home.

4. Vintage Pieces:
If you love to collect secondhand pieces, you're in luck! As Rohr says. "Vintage-inspired furniture is also expected to make a comeback. With the recent popularity of mid-century modern design, it's no surprise that retro-inspired pieces will return in style." Flea markets, local antique stores, and websites including Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace are excellent resources for sourcing beautiful vintage pieces that don't break the bank.

5. Large Scale Pieces:
Homes don't seem to be getting any smaller, Aleem adds, noting that scale will continue to be important in 2023, with a focus on "larger scale pieces that serve more purposes, and seat more people. We're gathering now again in our homes and 2023 is all about entertaining in them!"

6. Reeded Details:
Furniture with reeded touches of all kinds will be front and center next year, according to Weeth. This may take the form of reeding inset into wall panels, reeded crown molding, and reeded drawer and door faces in cabinetry, she explains.

7. Colorful, Pattern Furnishings:
People won't be afraid to go bold in 2023, Rohr notes. "There's also a large number of people wanting to go more out-of-the-norm pieces," she comments. "Many clients are not afraid of color and are open to creating more impactful interiors. For those, the trend will be experimenting with color, patterns, and unique, eye-catching pieces that become the focal point of a room. "So, if you've had your eye on a vibrant, outside the box piece for some time, 2023 may be the year to scoop it up once and for all! Weeth agrees, noting that pattern in particular will be majorly en vogue. "From stripes to hand-blocked prints to vintage-inspired, pattern brings depth and interest to upholstery," she says.

Pressure cleaning is key to improving the appearance and look of parking lots and parking lots. Frequent power washing washes away grime, dirt, and trash, boosting the general look and safety of these areas. A clean garage creates a positive impression for customers and visitors, making a positive impact on the establishment or property. Moreover, removing trash and stains can prevent wear to the ground and prolong its lifespan. Neat and well-maintained garages are also less likely to attract pests and vermin. By utilizing high-pressure washing, property owners will guarantee that their garages remain welcoming, secure, and in optimal state.  If you're curious, feel free to check out my domestic and corporate power washing webpage to find out more.
